I Want More

One last time, one very last time I went to see the Sisters on their ‘Bite the silver bullet’ tour. In hindsight, I think this might well be the most stunning gig I’ve seen on this tour. While Paris was just historical, the first Brussels date was quite good (but perhaps not as convincing as I hoped it to be) this one was an absolute rocker from A to Z.

The other Sisters gigs I’ve been to before I always (happily) stood just behind the security bar on the first or second row, but this time I decided to go for the mosh. Being amongst this lovely crowd definitely added to the overall gig experience. Still, I did quite an effort to not only jump up and down to the music but to also listen to the music (as that’s basically what gigs are about, isn’t it).

Listening to that music, I noticed very well how much Ben Christo and Chris Catalyst had evolved over the past couple of weeks. Truly amazing, I must say. Whereas they tended to more or less ‘play Sisters songs’ on the previous two dates it seemed they had really got into the music by now and got to know each other better, made it sound like it was their music. Adding little solos and all that, you know the score.

Then there was the brand new song, Still, which was quite astonishing as well – a new Sisters song, I would’ve laughed very loudly at whoever would’ve told me I was going to be witnessing a new Sisters song being performed only about a week before – though it still needs some time to mature. And obviously classic Sisters songs like Burn made the overall experience very pleasant.

So, another Top Nite Out, hopefully I will be witnessing many of these still!
